Job Description:We are currently seeking aVolunteer Recruitment Representative in St. Paul or St. Cloud, Minnesota!
Develop and Implement recruitment strategies to recruit Biomedical American Red Cross volunteers.
Achieve assigned volunteer recruitment goals with emphasis on targeting strategic geography, skill sets, and market segments, based on needs assessment. This can be achieved by:
Actively participating in the development and refinement of the national Biomedical volunteer recruitment plan.
Identifying potential market segments and populations to serve volunteer goals and initiatives, as well as ensure that volunteer population is reflective of community at large.
Researching outreach events, fairs, and social networks. Reaching out to community groups to set up recruitment presentations.
Promoting volunteer opportunities at recruitment events in communities served by assigned region.
Developing and leading volunteer recruitment teams to promote volunteer opportunities at community events.
Evaluating successful techniques and partnerships.
Create and maintain relationships with key volunteer recruitment agencies to ensure that American Red Cross is at the forefront of volunteer referrals.
Partner with staff to strengthen existing relationships and identify and evaluate prospective new volunteer recruitment sources and partnerships.
Using the Red Cross brand, implement volunteer marketing materials and create presentations and online information/promotions to be used in a variety of recruitment settings to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Keep accurate records of all potential and actual volunteer leads for accountability. Maintain monthly reports on the status of volunteer activity.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications, public relations or equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
Minimum three years related experience required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills and the ability to relate effectively to people of diverse backgrounds and education levels.
Demonstrated ability to recruit a variety of individuals required.
Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred.
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required.
A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
Recruiting experience OR the ability to effectively communicate Red Cross mission and activities in a manner that is both attractive and realistic.
